So I packed up and embarked on a spiritual quest which led me to India where I discovered Yoga, meditation and deep urge to unite with the divine. As the magic continued to evolve I was guided in a way that allowed me, through teaching Yoga, Qi Gong and the practice of Acupuncture, to help my fellow brothers and sisters to heal and transform, as well as support my family.”

Ziza Fernandes Sagy
“After finishing my army service and my degree in Art, I moved to live in Los Angeles. Whilst living there, I was invited by a friend to be a model in a Foot Reading and Reflexology class. I was amazed by the depth and amount of information the students managed to gather from my feet, as well as the deep physical and emotional experience I felt when I was treated. That experience had a profound effect which helped me understand myself in a new way. For the first time I understood there is a connection between Body-Mind-Emotions and I decided to become a therapist myself. I was able to combine the spiritual and creative together.”

Together
People talk a lot about the secret of manifesting abundance. For us, our story represents the essence of that.
We met in 1992, in California, where we were both studying different forms of alternative healing and complementary medicine, including acupuncture and reflexology. Although we are both from Israel, we didn’t know each other, but we had both been attracted to the same place at the same time.
We left California as a couple and went back to Israel, where our daughter was born. We worked as therapists: Yair as an Acupuncturist, Herbalist and Shiatsu Specialist and Ziza as a Reflexologist. After 7 years we felt the need to find a place which allowed us more freedom of creation: sunny Spain. We wanted to set up our own healing retreat centre where we, and our clients, could be close to nature… where we could realize our vision and offer a haven from the stresses and strains of everyday life.
In our studies of the healing arts, we had both found a need to express our healing talents in ways that were unique to us. For Yair, the disciplines of Acupuncture, Shiatsu and Chinese herbalism were too technical and too rigid. Although they gave the foundations, something was missing. ‘It just wasn’t me’. For Ziza, traditional Reflexology was too focused on symptoms in the present. It didn’t take account of the connections between present symptoms and past life experiences. It seemed as if the full Mind Body Spirit connection was lacking.
We were both searching for new ways of expressing our healing abilities. We wanted to help people de-stress, understand the causes of their pain, put that pain behind them, to get in touch with their true selves and emerge feeling happier and more whole.
Working with Detox-International
Our great opportunity came in 2003, when we started working with Midi Fairgrieve, the founder of Detox-international. The magic started to manifest itself. In order to support the particular needs of clients who came to the detox, we both needed to develop our unique ways of healing which truly supported the Mind Body Spirit balance. Midi supported us in this.
Ziza developed her own style of foot reading and Yair created a diagnosis method based on reading people’s energy: Auras and Chakras. Both our systems support our clients on their journey towards healing and well-being. We found that we were achieving remarkable results, and you can see some of our results here.
Creating Our First Healing Retreat Centre
Since that time, our work has grown, and we have realized our vision to create a healing place. We have created Armonia Alpujarra Healing Retreat centre, in Andalucia, Spain. Here our clients can come and relax among the olive and almond groves, receive treatments from us, and learn to do what we do. We have the perfect place to offer healing courses, healing retreats, yoga holidays and even vacation rental, in an environment that nurtures mind, body and spirit.
We have been truly blessed to find such a place where we can bring people together and help them along their journey of inner personal growth.
Our blessings increase, and people have invited us to share our knowledge and our healing therapy work in other places across Europe, because of the results people experience from working with us. We now have a Clinic in London, as well as Clinics in Spain, a Clinic in Sifnos Greece and one in Belgium. The energy in Sifnos is truly special and supports healing of the whole being in Mind, Body and Spirit.
