Visit local Towns, Villages and Beaches

 

Spa Town of Lanjaron: only 5 mins drive or 30 mins walk.  Well equipped with shops, chemists, banks and enjoys numerous bars and restaurants.

 

Orgiva: only 15 mins drive by car. Famous for its double towered Church, as well as its multi-national residents. The bustling Thursday Street Market is worth visiting ~ good for people watching!

 

Mountain Villages: visit the local mountain villages and enjoy lunch, dinner and the majestic views.

City of Granada: only 45 mins drive away. Enjoy the local culture, visit the Cathedral, the Albaicin and Sacromonte Gypsy quarters and fabulous shops and restaurants. There is also an amazing ALJIBE HAMMAN Arabic Spa Baths which are worth visiting and, of course, the famous Alhambra Palace.

Book, at least, 2 days ahead as tickets sell quickly. 
The Booking Line is 0034 902 441 221 (English Speaking). Have your credit/debit card read (Visa/Mastercard only). 
There are three sections to the Alhambra: Alcazaba, Mesquita Palacio and Generalife Gardens. 
The most interesting part is the Mesquita Palacio and your ticket has timed entry, so organise your visit to the other two sections around this allotted time.
Collect pre-booked tickets from the Advanced Booking Window at least ONE HOUR before your allotted time.
Opening Hours: 08:30 am to 20:00 pm, all year round.

ALJIBE HAMMAN Arabic Spa Baths
Aljibe Hammam (Arabic Spa Baths): a fabulous place to spend a few hours relaxing, bathing and emnjoying a massage.  Remember to take a swimming costume!

Visit the Coast/Beaches:
The nearest beaches on the Costa Tropical are Playa Granada, near Salobrena, and Torrenueva, just east of Motril. The journey time is approximately 30 – 45 minutes in a car.
